Girls Education First Foundation puts its partners and donors at the core of its mission and work. Thus, the process of grant approval requires a variety of factors such as quality programs and interactions, clear and consistent communications, demographic information from applicants seeking grant supports, and constructive criticisms.
Every grant application is evaluated from financial and impact perspectives. We rely on accurate data, and work with our partner organizations to ensure they have the capacity and support they need to generate quality outcomes.
Our foundation evaluation policy uses the appropriate tools that support continued learning, adjustment, and alignment to measure every program’s progress.
Girls Education First Foundation is an equal opportunity organization committed to the core values of transformation, diversity, inclusion, integrity and equity. We consider our partner organizations’ wide range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives to be a critical piece of our organization’s culture.
The Girls Education Fist Foundation is committed to information sharing and transparency. We have adopted a transparency policy that enables the unrestricted access of all peer-reviewed funded programs, in whole or in part, by the foundation, including underlying data.
- Publications of all approved grant programs will be discoverable and accessible online.
- Publications will solely be on “Transparency Policy” terms.
- GEFF and its grantees will retain copyright of all publications.

Please keep in mind that although your project may appear to fall under the guidelines of being likely fundable, it does not necessarily guarantee a grant from the foundation.

- Political campaigns and legislative lobbying efforts.
- Building or capital campaigns.
- Projects that exclusively serve religious purposes.
