
Shakelah is a lawyer, realtor, and founder of four businesses in Oregon.
The past 20 years, her organizations have provided services related to family, education, health and beauty in several communities of Eugene. Shakelah graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in General Social Sciences (Crime, Law, and Society). She is currently attending ALU Law School in California with ambitions to be elected as a juvenile court judge. She also holds a Massachusetts real estate certificate and works as a real estate agent.
Shakelah is a recipient of the Mattie Reynolds Community & Social Justice Award and served as President and Judge Chair of the Miss Scholarship Program. Lane County & Linn Benton, a preliminary program for Miss America 2009-2020. She was also a board member and ISMT consultant 2010-2015. With its platform « Mentoring Our Youth to Thrive »,
she promotes and encourages young people to love and embrace who they are.
Shakelah has been married to her husband for 26 years and together they have five children. She was Ms. Oregon America 2014 as well as Ms. Oregon International 2015, placing top 15 at nationals. Shakelah is dedicated to her community and her family and strives to make a difference within her community and the State of Oregon.
